I recently attended a most wonderful event, the #SelenaFanGathering, held at Plaza de La Raza in Lincoln Heights, Los Angeles, CA. This event celebrated the life and music of icon Selena Quintanilla-Perez.
Selena was adored by fans all over the world, but her life was tragically cut short 22 years ago. Her memory and legacy continue to live on through events like the Selena Fan Gathering.
Created by Roger Gomez of LoveSelena.com, the celebration featured Selena music, impersonators, vendors, musical performances, and even a Selena fashion show.
It was such an awesome atmosphere and a great experience to be among fellow Selena fans 🙂 She was an artist who touched the lives of many people, and her life and music left a positive impact on generations to come 🙂

San Manuel Casino Hosts Freestyle Dance Party
By Lucia Flores
On Thursday, March 17, San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino was host to the Freestyle Dance Party, a night of revisiting the hits of the 1980s and 1990s with performances by Freestyle powerhouses Trinere, Lisa Lisa, and Stevie B.
Freestyle is a form of electronic dance music that contains elements of hip-hop, disco, latin, electro, and house music.
Opening up the show was Trinere, who many consider the “Queen of Freestyle.” The crowd cheered loudly as she began the show with her hit “They’re Playing Our Song.” She delighted the audience with “I’ll Be All You Ever Need,” and more chart-topping hits as many danced and sang along.
