Comic book expos are AWESOME! I really, really mean that. I went to Comikaze (http://comikazeexpo.com) several years ago and had such a blast. There was so much to do and see: art, comics, movies, and some of my favorite stars.
I swear I was like 6 feet away from Mark Hamill. THE MARK HAMILL. Like Luke Skywalker/voice of Joker Mark Hamill. It was sooo COOL 🙂 And the panels were so entertaining as well as informative.
I’ve never actually gone to Comic-Con, the big one down in San Diego. It’s pretty hard to get tickets I hear, but people who do get to go really like it. Maybe one day….
But the comic book expos close to home are really getting into the spirit of things, with workshops, cosplayers, art galleries, and more. That’s why it was pretty amazing to attend the 2014 San Gabriel Valley Comic Book Expo.
Held at the Arts & Recreation Center in Baldwin Park, CA, the SGV Comic Book Expo united local artists in a celebration of the art of comics. Below is a video I put together for Mid Valley Radio:
The whole experience was a lot of fun and I can’t wait for next year’s event 🙂
